Eliot's reading of 'The Waste Land' is something that really has to be heard. In fact, the voice is so different to, & so much better than, anything you imagined & expected that I guarantee you will listen to it over & over again. Eliot's scope of intonation draws your attention to certain verses or words overlooked by the most insightful reader, & his sometimes comical tone is a breath of fresh air when you discover the humourin this poem. A wonderful experience, both for the interested amateur or the scholar.
