This book looks at the current GCSE syllabus & breaks it down into the required modules. Davenport writes with clarity on each of the sections from perception to socialisation & presents eachin an easy format.
Possible exam questions are included at the end of each chapter & relevent class & individual activities relating to each area of study.
The section on "Methodology" is particularily relevant & presents accessibility to an areain which students are notoriously wary. Davenport "demystifies" research methods - and, by illustrating themin an understandable format , encourages the students to try some basic "Experiments".
All terms are defined & the glossary presents an easy reference.
His or her presentation of activities can be carried outin a group-work setting & relate theory to practice, thus enabling the student to realise the importance of Psychological development.
Gender differences are coveredin depth & recent research is cited.
Indeed, the book produces further research & sources relating to the syllabus at the end of each chapter.
