More of the same - By: noggy1810, 22 Sep 2008
A novel with great pace, brilliant villains & plenty of twists & turns along the way, "Kiss the Girls" is what you would expect from Patterson. I have a couple of gripes which took from my enjoyment. For example what cop lets a previous victim become his sidekickin stakeouts & investigation? How come FBI etc didn't put tracking devices on cars of suspects or hadn't enough following so as they got away? How come FBI let Cross just break into a suspects house while watching? Who buys a book like this for a love story? A great beach read but don't think too hard about it.
A gory, spine tingling page turner - By: lush, 09 Sep 2008
I love the Alex Cross series of books but the first two; along came a spider & kiss the girls are by far the best. Once i start readng them i cant put them down. Im not normally into thrillers but these are excellent.A must read
Gripping Thriller - By: Phoebe, 14 Nov 2007
This book was fabulous. Really gripped from the start & totally unputdownable. I read thisin two sittings. Didnt guess the ending at all. Gruesomein parts but necessary for the plot. I havent seen the movie so had no idea what twists & turns werein store, & there were many. I have read many of James Patterson's book & so read this one rather late on, but by far the best I feel. Was sorry to come to the last page.
2 OUT OF 2 SO FAR - By: Nevs, 27 Sep 2007
This Alex Cross novel has been made into the second feature film so far, starring the excellent Morgan Freeman.
The story brings a pair of competing serial killers together, pursued by Cross, who's own neice has been kidnapped from her university campus.
Fast moving & thoroughly gripping story.
An exciting read! - By: Anna Heelas, 29 Mar 2007
'Kiss The Girls' was the first novel I read by James Patterson & I loved it. It is gripping & exciting to read - a real page turner. As one or two of the other readers picked up on, it is very gruesome - it is a serious & intense story. If you dislike violence & gore then this book isn't for you, however you needn't be a horror/gory addict to enjoy the tale.
Detective Alex Cross is particularly wired during this investigation as his much loved niece is a victim - a masked man calling himself Casanova is kidnapping girls (only the best, most special - beautiful & talented girls) & keeping them locked upin a secret place. Casanova uses his strength & power to keep them there & he can (and does) do excatly as wishes with them. However, a pattern is emerging - if the girls don't comply to his rules - they are brutally murdered & left for the police to find.
This is a gripping 'can't put downable' read - but it isn't for the light hearted! There is also a film adapted from the novel. Personally, I think the film is ok, I did enjoy it but the novel is a lot more thrilling & entertaining.
