A great read and very enjoyable plot - By: , 03 Jan 2002
This is book is that typical of Agatha Christiein the way she can make a very boring place such as a housein the English countryside into a great setting for a murder. Along with the plot of the missing formula, & the events which lead you to think of certain people who may have done it, but as it is, the true culprit is someone who you may not expect. I really enjoyed this book & think that those who like Agatha Christie will also really enjoy it.
Could have been better.. - By: , 04 Feb 2001
I didn't enjoy the book at all. The whole affair was a drag, & there was no major surprise as to the identity of the killer. A credible effort but it could be better.
A good Book that could have been written by Christie herself - By: ernfre@orbit.net.mt, 22 Jan 2000
Method & orderin the little grey cells of Poirot's mind have solved the case again & saved us all from a global catastrophe. Hastings helped a little. Sir Claud has his formula for a new bomb stolen. One of the Household? He switched off the lights......to give chance to whoever stole the formula to put it back.......the lights came on .....Sir Claud is dead.
A wonderful book, adapted superbly - By: , 03 Oct 1999
Although this was adapted by another author it is almost undistinguishable from the work of Christie herself. This was written by Agatha Christie as a play but has now been adapted so that a wider audience can view the wonderful plot. Poirot once again triumphs, coming up with the solution that you least expect. A treat for anyone who enjoys a crime mystery.
