As far as books on Buddhism goes, this is simple, effective ans easy to comprehend. It doesn't take much to realise what His Holiness is stating & his approach to compassion is one that can easily be applied to life.
It's a small book, but with plenty to say, & as an initial guide to altruism, it is highly useful.
