Was a little disappointed - By: G. Capper, 11 Jun 2008
Although i loved reading the book as much as i have enjoyed all of Torey Hayden's books, I was disturbed at the end as nothing significant came out of the investigation. Surelyin circumstances like this one someone must have known what was going on!! Was there a cover up? Where other children involved? Is this still happeningin that town? Why were her parents not prosecuted, surelyin this day & age this case can be reopened & more facts be obtained.

Brilliant! - By: E. Shepherd, 21 May 2008
Torey Hayden has a wonderful way of making her class room's visible to the reader.

This book had me laughing, crying & feeling sick - a truly remarkable read.

I cannot reccomend Torey Hayden's books enough, they are brilliant.
Compelling - By: Mrs. S. Payne, 23 Aug 2007
I was given this book by my friend after having seen Torey Hayden books on the shelf but never actually reading one. I was hooked. It deals with a subject that no one likes to think aboutin a very real & compelling way. I like the style of writing & I also like that then book was about the other childrenin the class. There were some very humorous moments that I felt the book needed to break up the harshness of the main subject. I enjoyed the descriptions of the classroom scenes & felt that I understood Torey better as a person during these insights. A really great read with some very real descriptions of shocking events. I will definitely be reading more by Torey Hayden.
