Slawter - By: Woodlandweasel, 25 Oct 2008
A tense, nail biting read.A must have for every horror fan.Really cool monsters.Happy ending, though something always happens like somebody dies at the end,but still fairly happy ending!
great horror series - By: Red, 29 Aug 2008
From the first momentin book one, Lord Loss, when Grubbs Grady encounters the Demonata & their evil minions it is obvious to the reader that Darren Shan books are from a different dimension. You really have to read them with an open mind, & a slightly twisted one too! The heroes are constantly changing, from Grubbsin book one to Kernel Fleckin book two, back to Grubbsin three & then Becin some of the later episodes. Whoever isin charge you can absolutely guarantee a frightening ride through another world, which Shan depicts so very well. As far as teenage horror goes this is about as entertaining as it gets. You cannot compare it to the real horror masters, such as James Herbert, Shaun Hutson, Brian Keene or Conrad Jones, but they are truly entertaining, even though the storylines are flimsy to say the least, they are still excellent reading.
Slawter review - By: Joe, 18 Jun 2008
The book takes off where Lord Loss ended, with Grubbs, Bill-E & Dervish Grady all try to live a normal life. Then a horror movie director invites them to come an join her as they film Slawter, the most realistic demon film ever.
But who is this director really working for?
Why are children going missing?
And why are the Demons on set looking realistic... too realistic?
Lord Loss is back, & wants revenge on Grubbs.
BUY THE BOOK! It's brilliant.
Slawter - The Best of the Series? - By: Libby Nithavrianakis, 01 Apr 2008
I read this bookin 1 day. It was that gripping. It is a "Must Read Book" for ages 10+. You will be thrilled by the way that it is written. I am glad that Darren Shan wrote this book.
Really good - By: marky77, 11 Jan 2008
Pleased to say that the third novelin the Demonata trilogy is just as good as the first 2! This time the story returns to Grubbs Grady (along with Bill-E & Dervish, of course). A famous horror movie director has heard about Dervishes collection of books about demons & wants his (and Grubb's) assistancein the making of her new movie - Slawter.
Dervish, Grubbs & Bill-E arrive on the isolated movie site & as soon as the first scene is shot - a scenein which a boy is killed by a demon - Grubbs knows that there is a big problem with the movie...it's using real deomons!.
Another brilliant entryin the Demonata Saga - so good I read itin one night. Highly reccommended.
