This is a very useful & up-to-date guide to researching Irish family history. Although I have a number of older & much larger standard works on Irish genealogy, I bought this book as soon as I saw itin a bookstore because of the wealth of internet resources it offers for research without leaving home. It is very useful for both beginning & advanced family historians/genealogists.

This book is a fantastic aid to anyone researching their Irish family history. It is beautifully illustrated with hundreds of photos & would make a wonderful Christmas present. I have been researching my Irish family tree for years & this is by far the best book I have seen. There is lots of information about how to find recordsin your own country - & then it explains what can be foundin Ireland & how to get it (with lots available on the internet).
Highly recommended.
