The best book I've read in a long time - By: J. Lawlor, 15 Dec 2008
I have read a lot of booksin my time & have a very varied taste! I was lent this book & so read it quickly. I could not put it down. It was so beautiful, it truly touched my heart, made me laugh & cry & generally gave me a lovely warm feeling. I loved it & will now read all of Cecelia's books!!
Took some time - By: Renate, 26 Nov 2008
I had really high expectations to this book, the plot sounded good.
It was a little boring at first, but that`s not unusual, it takes a while to get to know the characters & get into the story. But I read & I read, & after a few chapters I lost interest & put it away for several weeks.
At the time I didn`t have a lot to do, & I like to finish what I`ve started, so I picked up where I left... I`m sorry to tell you, but it didn`t get much better. I finished it at last, but I think it took about two months.
You might think I have a problem with reading, but I really don`t, I love reading. When I read f.ex a Marian Keyes book, I`m unable to put it away, & I`m also reading & reading towards the end with excitement mixed with a feeling that I don`t want it to end ever.
With this book it was more a little relief, like when you`re finally finished painting your livingroom...

A Nice Easy Read - By: Margaret, 03 Sep 2008
I borrowed this book from my sister who loves to read Cecelia Ahern.
This is a charming little read about imaginary friends. How Ivan comes to befriend Luke a 6 year old who he believes needs his help, but suddenly finds out Luke's aunt Elizabeth can also see him. This was a cute read, really sweet & lovely. It had me laughing out aloud at times, especiallyin the beginning of the book before Elizabeth can see him, as Luke demands another plate is set for Ivan. But it also had mein tears near the end of the book.
Everything flowed wellin this book, it was an easy chick lit read. Beautifully written.
Although I thoroughly enjoyed this book, 'Where Rainbows End' still remains my favourite of Ahern's novels.
A grown up fairy tale - By: Katherine, 17 Aug 2008
A novel about 'imaginary' friends; as with Ahern's other books, you need to suspend disbelief before tucking in. This is an unusual story, as it explores friendships, loneliness & family relationships but without the over the top saccharine love stories that are the blight of most 'chick-lit'. I loved this novel so much that I'd finished it within a day. Ahern manages to combine fantasy with an emotional story line superbly.
