An excellent introduction and source book on Tantra - By: A. S. Retreat Centre, 08 Sep 2006
I have read mixed reviews of this book on other sites & was interestedin purchasing the book for our extensive sacred sex library at our tantra centre basedin the UK.
Having read many different texts I can honestly say that this book is an excellent introduction into various tantra techniques that are available from around the world. The author has been able to explain many different aspects of tantrain a simple way & backs this up with suitable literature references. She also includes many references to videos, books & CD's & links to hundreds of different web sites on tantra. This also includesin many cases, an opinion on how a particular book or web link is useful & this is really helpful to tantrika's who are wanting to explore other tantra techniques or to get an overview of what else is available from different teachers & centres from around the world. My only criticism is that the book covers such a wide range of topics, that some areas are dealt within a superficial way.
Having sex that there is still sufficient detailin most cases for the reader to learn about, for example, developing whole body orgasms orin the case of men, to learn to become multi orgasmic. A highly recommended book.

A Disappointment... - By: Zak Ventis, 21 Jul 2003
Despite other reviews, upon which we based our decision to buy this book, I have to say we were somewhat disappointed with it. The title says it all; it is not,in our opinion, misleading, but does accurately reflect the content. It is simplistic; writtenin a populistic style, using 'catchy' titles & subtitles to mask lightweight prose. If you are seeking a more insightful, well written treatise you should take a look at the Muirs' 'Tantra: the Art of Conscious Loving'. However,in the end, we all have differing expectations & opinions of what is 'good'.
Impressive look at Tantra - By: Colin, 16 Jul 2002
Of all the recent books on tantric sex this is by far the most impressive. I liked the range & depth of the book. There is plenty to offer whether you`re new to the subject or fairly experienced at ecstastic sex. It is a try things out book - so be prepared to experiment & see how it feels. As with all things Tantric, some aspects take longer than others but you`re bound to enjoy the journey to ecstasy. If you`re not particularly comfortable with your sex life then some of the other books (see below) might be more appropriate (at least to get started) but for anyone interestedin developing their sexual energy potential this is the book to go for, assuming you can`t get the still unsurpassed & utterly fantastic Sexual Energy Ecstasy by David & Ellen Ramsdale which is currently difficult to acquire. I think Complete Idiot`s Guide is superior to the Muirs book especiallyin terms of depth & far better then Cassandra Lorius` Tantric Sex though both of these are written from the perspective of a women who hasn`t quite got to grips with her orgasmic powers so might be appropriate if that`s the case. Unlike Margo Anand`s books you don`t have to follow a long course of action. The authors seem to know what they are talking about & have probably spent enough timein bed blissed out discovering what their bodies can do - contrast with many recent books/authors. There are plenty of ideas to try out & hopefully ecstasy will appear as if by magic.
My top Tantra books
1 Sexual Energy Ecstasy
2 Complete Idiot`s Guide
3=Multi-Orgasmic Couple - Mantak Chia (taoist not tantric but very similar
