Excellent & Essential Palaeontological Text!- By: Fossil Girl, 06 May 2006 As someone who dreaded the idea of studying Microfossils I never expected to be praising a textbook on the subject. Written by two eminent palaeontologists, the second edition of Microfossils is a requisite text for many Palaeontological courses, this is not however just because it's one of a very select number of textbooks on the topic. Armstrong & Brasier manage to make Microfossils interesting & not at the expense of the quality of the information as happensin some textbooks. Information is clearly laid out & easy to find, presented logically under useful subheadings. Along with the wonderful mass of illustrations (line drawings mostly) the quality & concise quantity of information make this the only textbook that a student is likely to need on the topic.
