Quirky, thought-provoking and enjoyable- By: , 13 May 1998 I found this book by accident & bought it for a dollar (just luck; try Amazon). I have to say I found it fascinating. I have mixed views on religion but very definite views on quacks & hypocritesin religion, & I like the way the author addressed thisin the book. I like the way the book skips around; you have to stick with it, but eventually it comes together (think a less complex version of "A Rose for Emily." I appreciate authors who aren't afraid to address alternate or controversial issues & modes of thought, especiallyin a young adult book & especially on a subject as touchy as religion. Definitely worth a look. Two thumbs DOWN- By: , 01 Mar 1998 This book deserves a point for an original idea, but that was the only thing it had going for it. The author might have been trying to make some sort of point by skipping from one scene to the next with no warning, but all it came off was a confusing plot that made little or no sense. Don't waste your money or time on this one.
