Kup Cun Cap Leguizamo! - By: Lucy Scott, 17 Nov 2008
What a brilliant book! I received it through the post today & just couldn't put it down! The book covers his family life, problemsin his childhood/upbringing, & moves onto his steps to becoming a popular, talented latino actor/comedian. I would often find myself roaringin laughter at the writing of such a comical genius.
I often find it hard to read an autobiography without starting to change my opinion on the writer, but for Leguizamo, i have even more respect for the guy.
Great read, would highly recommend!
Ay; caliente!!! - By: Antyllus, 31 Jul 2008
Intelligent, very frank, witty, explicit & extremely funny. I have found this book a delight & totally engaging & couldn't put it down.
John talks to the reader as if he & you were having an intimate conversationin the cosy corner of some late night joint - except that he's a bold & hot blooded Latino!
Thank goodness for people like that - you never read one boring line. The direct language & ways of taking himeself, God & his wife, not so seriously makes this a true delight!
From his early days as one of the homeboys through the ups & downs of his pursuits as an actor, the likes & dislikes, the bonmots of other fellow actors (presented with more than a pinch of salt) - it all makes sense & comes together beautifully.
Highly recommended.Summer Of Sam [2000] Spun [2003]
