This is another wonderful book by Laura Ingalls Wilder about her husband's childhood. 'Farmer Boy' is written with the same care & detail as all of Laura's other Little House books about her own childhood. It's interesting to compare Almanzo's settled life growing up on a prospering farm to the life of Laura's pioneering family, & to see his early love of horses. I really enjoyed this book because it helped me to understand Almanzo more - I always felt I never really got to know him properly from 'These Happy Golden Years' & 'The First Four Years'.

This book is about how Manly grows up on his fathers farm about his brothers & sister. it is also tells of his love of horses as well as the trouble he & his siblings getin to. It is as magical as the other little house books. GREAT!! love it
