this book was a great sequel to The Serpent's Children, which i recommend. it shows a more subtle romeo+juliet deal, except less dramatic & fatal. it shows us that friendship & love can conquer all.

Mountain Light shows how a friendship can survive the adversity of war & ancient grudges. The two characters are hardly alike but they seem to be the same person.
