This book is actually two booksin one, there's also a second 'volume' with two more books, & several other storys which can be bought individually. This volume has the first two stories, but i think you could get away with reading the second volume first because they're not really sequels as such, just storys setin the same world.
when i bought this book i didn't know these things, & after i read the first story, i wanted to read about those same characters again, but the next story was about almost entirely different characters. apart from that small dissapointment, this book, & the whole series really, is really really good. every time i start a new story, its like 'oh no these new characters are going to be really boring compared to the last ones' but they never are, each story is just as good as the last.

I escpecially like Fiddle & Throgmorten! because I feel sorry for them!
A brilliant story setin a world were magic is common, & there are witches & wizards everywhere!

Brilliant!!! - By: , 04 Jan 2001 A captivating read. I love where Cat & Gwendolyn live-in amongst witches, diviners & necromancers. I especially liked the 'exotic suppliers', mainly because I think it would be nice to see inside their shops. If you have a taste for fantasy then I strongly advise you to read this book. I hope you enjoy it.
