A book on mechanisms to match Chironis' classic work on springs ought to be a "must have" & this is.

This comprehensively covers virtually all mechanismsin a most helpful style.

Asin "Spring Design & Application", he gives you examples by the truckload, & enough theory that you can apply things to your own applications.

This is also the only textbook I've ever seen to include pyromechanical devices- those which use a small explosive or propellant charge as a power source. These are not as widely known as they should be.

For the Engineer's book shelf, this is probably even better than the "Ingenious Mechanisms for Designers & Inventors" series.

There may be useful stuff that isn't here, but you can probably solve your problemin these pages anyway.
