This is the book for anybody who works with motors & speed controllers(as i do).It will help you understand how they work by using lots of different circuit diagrams,also it explains the differences between all types of ac&dc motors, induction,synchronous,slip ring,squirrel cage,capacitor run & so on..

The book is goodin giving a general (although a little dated) overview of motor types & control techniques. Unfortunately they are too special for a layman to understand & too general for a specialist to really do something with it. I have found the book a little disappointing, because it is assuming things without ever explaining them.

I had the impression, that the author had more interestin displaying the scope of his knowledge instead of helping someone else to get to the same level of understanding
