The Bellmaker - By: , 15 Oct 2004
The Bellmaker, a tale of Redwall, is an excellent tale about Joseph The Bellamker who is visitedin a dream by Martin The Warrior, a Redwall legend. In the dream he is told what to do, where to go, & who should accompany him on his quest.
The quest is, to go & find his daughter, Mariel, & bring her back to Redwall Abbey. For war is coming to Redwall.
Of course, there's got to be an enemy. In the Bellmaker it is the Urgan Nagru, the evil Fox.
In this book there is an excellent battle, asin most Redwall books, whcih really tops it all off. It is excellently written, a definite for anyone who even vaguely likes an action-packed book. It is another great tale of Redwall.
I really enjoyed this book, I think anybody would, however, it is no easy read. the speechin the story uses lots of slang, & sometimes I found myself going over the lines of dialogue again, having to re-read the speech so that I could properly understand it. This is the only fault with the book, & it is a fairly minor one.
9.7/10 FABULOUS!!
A beautifully written book; certainly the best in the series - By: , 02 Oct 2001
This was the first Brian Jacques book I ever read, pointed out to me by my motherin the library. At first I put off reading it because I thought "A book about MICE?!?! How ridiculous!" but when I finally did sit down to read it, I was hooked from the first page. The characters are all so believable, & it is so easy to relate to them! The Bellmaker follows a very definite Brian Jacqes style... Some friends are gained, some are lost... there's a great adventure, and, of course, there's a BIG feast at the end!!
A brilliant read, with a good reason to cry at the end!

the BEST REDWALL book - By: , 02 Sep 1999
This book was really well written & had loads of good description. My favorite part was after when mother mellus was killed because it showed bad people don't have to stay bad, they too can have a shot at being good.
