Disappointing Academic Content - By: Publius Vergilius Maro, 21 Sep 2008
Too many illustrations leave the format of the pagesin a muddle & obscure the important text. A coffee table book & not really one for serious study at A level.
Helps alot.... neccessaty for geog A level - By: R. Orange, 10 Oct 2006
This geography text book, by Waugh, is the main book we use at our school. The massive size means it has an answer to almost every geography related question. I have resorted to buying one of these for my own use as carrying them back & forth from school, is, lets say, painful. Although it is a massive book, & a brilliant one, it doesnt give all the neccassary info that is needed to ghet an A grade. This means that you cannot just rely on this book!!!!!!
A shame i know, but, if you didnt have, or use it... well, lets not go there.
Hope this has helped people...
Bulky -- good thing?? - By: H. Wahid, 03 Apr 2005
Good book with lots of information, but perhaps too much (especially if your used to last minute revision like me) None of the information isin note form so you'll have to pull out the relevent stuff you need for your exam/ assignments yourself. To be entirely honest, I have examsin 2 months & just looking at the hefty size of the book puts me off it completely.
A very good approach - By: Edward Park, 22 Mar 2005
This is probably the best geography book.
David Waugh is a renowned geographer & an expertin his field.
The text is so simple that one read will let you understand it thoroughly.
I'min Vancouver, Canada, &in International Baccalaureate programme, & this is THE text book we use. Arguably the best!

In school/Colleges, this book is quite often refered to as a key-text. However, much of the material is stolen, & is occasionally incorrect.
If you plan to take your geography studies further, do not buy this book, it will get you into bad habbits!
