great recipes, excellent price for hardback book, easy to follow recipes. The boys have done it again with this book. I dont have any family recipes to pass on to my daughter so i bought her this book. Excellent!!!

Having watched this on t.v. & enjoyed it thoroughly, I was disappointed with the book. Far too many 'non-English' recipes for my liking. Thought it would be mainly good old English recipes which our Mums' knew best!! I remember them well.
Well illustrated though & easy to understand, so can't have it all ways.

What a Fab Cook Book - By: J. Wood, 09 Mar 2010 I recently bought the hairy bikers mums know best cook book after watching the tv series & I have to say I am very impressed with the content. My boyfriend & I made vegetable pakoras on Saturday with the Ghurka Muttton curry & it was delicious I also made the berovian love sponge cakein the book too I did see somebody comment about how they forgot to put measurementsin the cook book for this recipie but you justw eigh your eggs & however much your eggs weigh you weigh the same amount for butter sugar & flour so very simple recipie allin all a great book & hope they make another mums know best series
