essential - By: Ross Breadmore, 05 Jun 2004
as someone not yet workingin advertising, but desperate to do so, this book was a serious wake up call. Realistic, but never depressing, this book pulls no punches about the difficulty of getting into the industry. However, for every obstacle, the author offers suggestions & advice, often relating it directly to real-life experiences of people workingin the business.

"Must read (but really)" - By: , 13 Mar 2001
Simon Anholt from Cave Anholt Jonason: "I must have looked at dozens of books promising the 'inside track' on workingin advertising, but none of them deliverin the way this one does. Written from the perspective of the UK's leading advertising college, nobody could be better qualified than Ms Neidle to point the way to successful targeting, presentation, preparation & successin getting into the business. For the hopeful would-be agency staffer, it's as essential as a well-prepared CV & a good pair of walking shoes."
an essential guide to the advertising world - By: , 06 Jun 2000
Leaving college, I knew what I wanted to do but was unsure how to get there. 'How to get into Advertising' gave me the inspiration & practical information to find my feetin the advertising world, go out there & make something of myself. Definitely good value for money & well worth the read.
best of its kind - By: , 24 May 2000
There are lots of 'how-to' books about advertising, but this one stands head & shoulders above the rest. It's packed with detailed information on what the job titles really mean, how to make your approach & how to find out where the real openenings exist. The picture it paints of the way creative people work is the most authentic I've read. This is the inside track - a must-read for anyone wanting to get into the business.
