Not a book to leave on the shelf - By: SE Nelson, 07 Jan 2009
This is an excellent book for keeping readers on the spiritual path. It pays to read it more than once, & to keep it close at hand as a source of reference & reminders.
Because the chaptersin it are relatively short, I have found it well suited to being read regularly to a new Christian, to educate, stimulate discussion & inspire. Moreover, there are supporting resources available, as mentionedin the book itself. Altogether an excellent buy, which no-one who is serious about Christianity should miss.
The purpose driven life - By: Rosie, 30 Nov 2008
What a good book i thought!!
Christians know the Bible is the main true help guide.
But this book is a help for anyone wanting to make a bit of sense as to why we each are here on earthin a helpful way...its a book where you can read abit about everything..it is worth a read. I see alot of people have different views about this book but i suggest give it a read & see, you may find some encouragement or answers to some question you havein your mind.
Thumbs down! - By: Samantha McPherson, 22 Apr 2008
This book is an alleged christian book because it twists the scriptures & goes against what the word of God says. In my opinion this is not christian at all, but written from someone who I identify with cult practices. How come so many churches use this book when it goes against so many christian values & scriptures?? Do the christians that read this book read the bible? Apparently not, or they might find issues with it that I did. Also why does it make you sign a covenant at the start of the book? Me & my friends do not recommend this reading if you are serious about your walk with God. However if you are serious about your walk with God, the Holy Spirit will direct you into all truth.
Microwave Christianity - By: Matt Wilson, 19 Apr 2008
The 'Purpose-Driven' franchise has been incredibly successful,in terms of shifting units. There has to be a reason it's done so well. Simple answer. It's a generic product. It's Bird's Eye Fish Fingers. It's Heinz Baked Beans. It's Chicken Tonight. The book jacket promises a lot & there are certainly a lot of excitable reviews of it, by all means give it as a gift to a new Christian but if you have any level of maturity you will be left frustrated.

This is one of the best books I have readin a long time, Rick Warren just says it as it is & makes so much sense. Every day's read was inspirational & so encouraging a must for every christian.
