Well worth the time and effort- By: avid reader, 23 Aug 2007 Lee & Leslie Strobel's description of how they overcame their spiritual mismatch is an excellent resource & source of encouragement for anyone finding themselves on the same road. Initally the book is hard going, the Strobels are conservative American Christians with no roomin their thinking for interpretation of the Bible or liberalism (they are also clearly creationists but this does not feature heavilyin this book) - if you are of a different mindset (as I am) then a certain amount of reading on with gritted teeth is sometimes needed. If you manage this though then you are rewarded with a wonderful book detailing exactly how they coped & indeed grewin love for each other during the time of their mismatch. For the believing partner of a non-believing spouse much of the advice given is practical, loving & heartfelt. The book is extremelly American with the word 'winsome' used repeatedly & much reference to 'seeker churches' but most of the advice is applicable anywhere. This is a book that will draw you back to your partner, enhance your faith & help you to grow through the mismatch while still loving your partner every bit as much as you did before - if not more!
