War Propaganda - By: Christian Reviews, 01 Jun 2008
I was really disappointedin this sequel as I enjoyed Even Now immensely & was hopeful that I had found a new author to enjoy. I am most concerned about the claims Karen Kingsbury makes from an (albeit American) evangelical Christian viewpoint. I personally felt that the book read like war propaganda. The author makes it very clear that she thinks that God supports the Wars on Afghanistan & Iraq & therefore that all "right-thinking" Christians should also support them.
Please do not pick this book up if you do not support the Wars as I am sure you will feel as irritated as I was by page after page of tired recycled arguments why these wars are justified. Karen Kingsbury should be writing for the military, not for a Christian publisher!

As an army wife with a husband who has servedin both Afghanistan & is currentlyin Iraq I too cried for a lot of the book but it also opened up my thinking & God's plans! Another great Karen Kingsbury book to be shared around my family!!
You won't be able to put it down. - By: Mum of 4 kids, 12 Jan 2008
This is a good book if you have lots of time on your hands & a large quantity of paper tissues. My husband nearly divorced me while I was reading this beacause I could not put it down & sobbed my way through most of it! I do not normally read fiction books but I loved this one. As an Irish person I appreciated the author's insights into the differing opinions of the US army's presencein the Middle East. I think I learned a lot from this book & it challenged my thinking.
