The way the Elder Futhark (runes) are incorporated into such beautiful scenarios is reason enough to buy this deck. The book is also very useful, & avoids repeating the Book of Runes that came with a clay set.

A card deck of runes is also a lot easier to travel with; whenver I went through airports with my other rune sets, I was always afraid someone would damage my stones.

Regardless of whether you are a beginner or an expert, anyone who loves runes would love this deck.

I have this. The cards are pretty & fun to use, but the book that explains their meanings is a little...vague. Somehow all of the meanings seem alike to me. Other definitions that I've read are a bit more specific & a little more paganish. The book does give directions though & that's nice.
