Gaultry & her companions are just returning to Tielmark. But it doesn't take much time before they find that not all enemys are left behindin the Bissanty Empire. It seems their new enemy uses the power of the Twin Goddesses.
Backin the capital they find no rest either. The Lanai are raiding the borders & soon Prince Bennet sets out to defend them. Taking Gaultry's love Martin with him before they can settle their differences. Backin Princeport it doesn't lack for intrigue & action either when an evil plan for making Bennet King surfaces.
So there's a lot to get settledin this last book. You get a better look into the history of the Coven & the happenings 50 years earlier.
I won't expose any more of the story, but it's really a book worth reading.
