On the plus side, this book is both honest & funny, however, the characters are a bit caricature-ish, & it's just too obvious which ones you're supposed to like. Otherwise, a fun read.

I really did, reading this book made me laugh & cry. Jenny Eclair has really rounded the characters out nicely & you really feel for the underdogsin the book.
I loved Camberwell Beauty too - & I seriously hope Jenny has another bookin her somewhere!
Funny funny funny! - By: , 12 Jan 2006 This book had me laughing out loud from the very beginning! I hadn't read the other book by this author & so didn't know what to expect. My friend & I were on holiday & I was reading this book & my friend a different book, & she couldn't wait for me to finish so she could get started on this book that was making me laugh so much.
I really enjoyed the descriptions of the characters & felt like i really knew them.
Nothing else to say other than if you haven't read this book yet...you must!!
I'm just about to order her first book now & hope it's even half as good as this one!

The characters were so 'real' & I felt as if I knew them all, & I couldn't put the thing down! It is a book that I fell into for 2 full days! Cant wait for more from Jenny Eclair! Definately recommend!
