I am a huge fan of all the history & recreation books & have read them all! This was very interestingin capturing a snapshotin time & all the history elements that went with it made it very enjoyable. Having said that, it was not as insightful or interesting as some of the other books such as 1900 house etc but still very good. A lovely book to eat with chocolates one afternoon!

This book not only goes behind the scenes of the upcoming TV show on Channel 4 but also provides a detailed & accurate account of the timein which the TV show is set, the Regency Period. Packed with interesting photo's & drawings both of reality & the show the book is a must for any historian or fan of this type of show.
