I liked this biography of the Queen particularly because it provided around 80 pages of the royal family history since Queen Victoria: explaining the family background the Queen had, the increasingly changing public reactions to the royals & waysin which the family continued to adapt.
The book also illustrated well the relationships the Queen had with her family, & the Queen's sense of duty; working upon state documents, etc. The book almost gives a kind of behind-the-scenes account,in a way, of the times surrounding the major eventsin the Queen's life, for example, the death of Princess Diana.
