Brilliant! - By: S. M. Bon, 05 Jan 2009
Anyone who is a fan of Peter Jame's creation "Roy Grace" will love this!
I can understand that this isn't to everyone's taste, what a boring world it would make if we all liked the same however I found some of the reviews harsh & unfair.
Roy Grace is a fantastic characters & the people who surround himin his adventures are superb too. James' descriptions are so great, it's like being there, like the firstin the series & the next one, I could not put this down.
I can't wait for the 5th to come outin June 09.
Enjoy
Not enough....oomph - By: Mr. Tony Griffiths, 22 Dec 2008
Second visit to Peter James. First was a cracker (Dead simple), but this one just seems to meander on. Don't like to blow my own trumpet, but I guessed the ending half-way through it.
Its not that its a bad book, by any means. Its easy to read & doesnt become too dark or moody.
But just lacked the sparkle that I was hoping for.
YOU WILL GET ADDICTED TO THIS SERIES - By: Mrs. June Salmon, 10 Nov 2008

Fantastic! - By: saggy of London, 29 Sep 2008
This was the first Peter James novel I have read, & it really didn't disappointin any area! The plot was fast, the attention to detail superb, & I just didn't want to put the book down.
The character descriptions were so spot on, especially 'Potting' the un-PC DC! The frustrations of the Police doing all they can to outwit a serial killer were true to form, the chase to catch him had me on the edge of my seat ( first time everin a book) if this is your first PJ book, you will not be leftin any doubt buy his others! I am!
Brilliant!!!
formulaic and two dimensional - By: Gotothrottleup, 02 Jul 2008
This is the worst book I have readin the past five years. The plot crawls along predictably but unbelievably. The dialogue sounds unauthentic. The characters are wooden & stereotyped. There is gratuitous product placement throughout. Everyone's car & mobile phone is lovingly described. Crime fiction for idiots. Avoid at all costs.
