This is an excellent book for anyone wanting to learn, not only the theory necessary to pass examinationsin order to qualify as a Welder but for anyone who has an interestin Welding processes. This book is excellently illustrated with photographs & sketches of high quality & helps to make the understanding of each process easier. I can highly recommend Practical Welding by Stuart W Gibson.

Not the introductory text I expected to help me to improve my DIY welding skills. It's more of a text book for a NVQ course, or similar & probably requires tutor guidance for optimal benefit. But it does cover some more esoteric forms of welding too, so for a wider understanding of the topic it is quite good.

It has techniques for almost all types of welding, & for each of which it goes into detail about how to apply what you have learnt to real situations. Great stuff!
Excellent, practical guide for hands-on learning - By: , 27 Apr 2000 This book was written to teach students who needed to learn how to weld, to learn quickly, & to understand everything that is of real & practical relevance to them. It manages to hit just the right balance of sufficient theory to gain understanding, but not too much to make it heavy reading. A splendid course handbook, or even a self-teaching guide.
