This was an instant hit with my toddler, who was entranced by the rhymes & learned the word snail within a single read. I found myself quite moved when reading it too, especially when the snail feels smallin the big beautiful world.
wallydos - By: wallydos, 12 Jun 2008 My 2 year old son adores The Snail & the Whale as well as the Room on the Broom. We read them nearly every night. They are also fun to read as an adult compared to many other children's books that drive you potty after the 10th time!
Firm favourite - By: L Spark, 30 Apr 2008 This is a wonderful story with lovely illustrations which my son has enjoyed from age 1. He repeats the words & loves looking at the pictures & talking about all the things going on & naming all the animals etc. It's an uplifting story with a world view which makes the point that everyone has a placein the world, no matter how small.
Fantastic!!! - By: J. Mitchell, 13 Apr 2008 My son & I read this book every day. Actually, that's a lie - I have read it so many times I actually know it off by heart so I recite it to him every day!! Dylan & I both choose this as our favourite (children's) book. We love it.
