Unfortunate that the usually reliable TEACH YOURSELF is now starting to branch out into all kinds of money-making nonsense. I am angry at this particular weak addition to the series. Be clear that this has nothing to do with conversation whatsoever: a conversational makes it sound as if there might be some reasoned discussions or arguments on the AUTHENTIK-type level, at least above GCSE, but what you get here are just a collection of re-hashed short & sweet dialogues for nothing more complex than asking for milk with your tea. This is a terrible con & the title is extremely misleading to say the least. Most complaints about TY is that they progress too quickly, but this is a retrograde step for even the most basic of Italian learners- avoid.

"Italian Conversation" includes 3 CDs & a 48 page booklet. The course is designed to epand your vocabularly & increase your confidencein speaking Italian.
All the converstions are written outin the booklet & are recorded on 2 CDs. The third CD is unique - it has more conversations recorded on it (that aren'tin the booklet) & it teaches listening & understanding skills.
Though it could be used on its own, I find the pack particularly useful combined with "Teach Yourself Italian". It is ideal for beginers or those who can allready speak some Italian. I am teaching myself Italian for GCSE & find the course easy to use & enjoyable.
