MRCS Viva Revision Book - By: D. Hill, 12 Sep 2008
Fantastic revision book, it is set out just like the exam format, gets your mind thinkingin the exam answer format. Information concisely put & relevant. Having purchased half a dozen books this is essentially the only one i used. Highly recommend it.
Excellent. The reason I am now Mr! - By: Dr. Simon John Prowse, 03 Aug 2008
cracking book (excuse the pun).

Clearly set out into sections corresponding to the viva stations. Each of the common viva topics is tackledin turn & cross referenced to other sections. The lists of example questions at the beginning of each chapter are particularly useful.

I based my whole revision around this book & passed first time. My advice is to use it as a syllabus, reading around & making notes on each chapter.

Be warned though it isn't comprehensive, some crucial areas are completely omitted. It would have been five stars but really - a surgical revision book with no mention of inflammatory bowel disease? Come on!
Excellent - By: K. Sarsfield, 02 Oct 2007
I have to say this is the best viva revision book I've used - & I've bought them all. I passed successfully pretty much using this book to consolidate my knowledge from the bigger textbooks. good detailed explanations, it covers the whole range of subjects & I know it's a cliche but pretty much all my exam questions that came up werein here. a great buy
Best Book i bought! - By: A. R. Pearce, 14 Apr 2007
Having previously failed the Viva i decided to buy a new book.
Excellent layout, easy to read with good revision boxes to help the brain remember all those little details required by the lovely examiners at the royal college

Better than the Pastest Books

A few errors.. sure.. BUT... - By: Snake, 17 Feb 2007
Every question I was asked at my viva came from this book. On the day, I had taken this, & spent 30mins on each of the 6 sections before the vivas. Everything was out of this book - could not believe it. For sure, I was lucky, but the contents of the chapters (6 vivas, 3 questions each, makes for 18 questions from one book) was all i knew.. & I got 3's & 4's. Not bad, eh?
