Not Fantastic - By: , 11 Aug 2005
As an a A level student I found that this book, although on the whole very useful, there were flawsin the writing of it. Also the answer key is at the back of the book which for students is very tempting to just look at the answers & therefore not fully understand what we are learning. When we are faced with three hours of homework a night this seems the easy option. Overall though all of the tenses that you need to know are coveredin a concise way with revision exercises & examples after the section
This grammar book is a must for anyone studying the language - By: , 03 Apr 2001
The easy layout of this book enables you to find out any of your grammatic queries. Everything can be easily comprehended, partly because each section of grammar isin a manageable chunk, but also as each detail is, generally, well explained. I thoroughly recommend it.
I have found a few grammatical errors in this book. - By: , 22 Jan 2000
I have found that though generally the book is quite useful for the explanations of Spanish grammar & exercises, there are a few mistakes on some of the exercises. One I foundin the section of personal pronoums,(p.66) another onein the phrasing of an exercise which says tanto instead of "tan" (p.178). I have not used all the book yet, but possibly I could found still more errors. This is very irritating because, in my position, as a teacher, I must warn the students of these errors & this can cause confusion on their already insecure foundations of the Spanish language.I think the editors should have been more careful a should have made a more detailed study of the use of the language on some of the exercises.
