Many of spend our whole lives searching. Perhaps, we are trying to find that something that will make us good enough, perfect, or worthy of love. Still, it seems that the more effort we put into the search, the less we actually seem to find.
What if we already had everything we needed to be whole? What if the entire time we had been searching for just that right job, the perfect spouse, that right dogma, or the ultimate therapist we had already had all the tools we needed. What if we found out that all that energy we spent running away from our feelings, our natural inclinations, & our flaws was actually making our journey more difficult? What if we found out that we could make a change right here & now & for the rest of our lives?
Freedom Is explores these & many other life changing notions. Based upon the popular Journeywork, the author explores effortless being; nonattachment; present-moment awareness, honoring & reverence; emotions, gratitude, love, forgiveness, & enlightenment.
I thought the materialin Freedom Is was well presented & approachable. I felt extremely safein the hands of the author as I began to explore some very personal, deeply hidden, & potentially scary issues. Moreover, after completing the book, I felt strong enough to carry what I had learned into my real life. One thing I do suggest though is that you also purchase the CD that accompanies this book. It will make the meditations & exercises a whole lot easier to accomplish without having to try to create your own.
Hope and Light - By: Paula Garwood, 13 Aug 2007 I bought this book after reading Brandon Bays first book, The Journey, another book I would really recommend!
I have been diagnosed with Conversion Symptom Aphonia, this made me lose my voice for over 4 months & has stopped me from eating very little for that time too. I have been told by a psychologist this is due to post trauma of losing my mum & my real father I sadly was not able to meet.
Freedom Is gave me real hope & some light at the end of the very dark tunnel I have been in. Brandon Bays teaches you how to stop the endless whirlwind of emotions that we beat ourselves up about constantly, & makes you see that there is a life after years of doing this.
Her words really come from her heart & she also guides you through simply but very effective exercises, & also she shares beautiful stories with you that I found so gorgeous & heart warming & that they have left a lasting impression on me.
This book has shown me that I can change from being the constant worrier that I am, & also that I can live a life full of peace & happiness. It has been a long struggle for me & some days have been very dark, but since I have found Brandon Bays I can honestly say she has helped me more than any psychologist or doctor.
I can not say enough how you must buy this book, Brandon really is a magical writer & the most beautiful person.
She gives you hope & you know she means it & you know that you can do it!!!
Excellent Tools - By: JourneyAddict, 11 Jun 2007 This audio is a heavily abridged version of Brandon Bays' book Freedom Is - the excellent thing about it is that you get guided processes read by Brandon based on every chapter of the book. You do need to have read the book to make full sense of this audio, so get that first. Then these easy processes (much simpler thanin The Journey) really workin bringing freshness, clarity & freedom to your everyday life. Wonderful tools!
