This is a great little book, releasedin 2007 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Elgar's birth. Just like the other booksin the `Classic FM Friendly guide to' series this is so easy to read & full of interesting pieces of information. The authors Tim Lihoreau & Darren Henley (both of Classic FM) are clearly keen to present the factsin a user-friendly way, & have succeededin making this a thoroughly readable book.

The paper & binding are a little on the budget side, but it is a great introduction to Elgar & of course it comes with a free CD of the composers `Greatest Hits', so it's good value for money.

A nice little book, easy to pick up & read during those spare five minutes.
