hmm, feel a bit diddled - By: Adam Taylor, 12 Mar 2010
i think i was expecting more revelation than i gotin this. im a normal householder whose insulated the house, grows a bit of veg & has changed to low energy bulbs. not what i'd call being self sufficient-ish. but i found i knew most of the stuffin the book already other than the very useful tips on companion planting. without the recipes & plant growing tips i think what's left is already common knowledge for most of us. still its nicely written & would compost well! ;)
A well thought out and informative book in an easily accessible format. - By: C. Mcalister, 02 Jan 2010
I bought this book as a present but after having a quick leaf through I was hooked (and thoroughly inspired). I work as an environmental consultant & was impressed by the depth of thinking that had gone into some of the sections - well researched & thought out, & presentedin an informal & easy to read format. Excellent - I am just about to order my very own copy for keeps, & start on a big eco project!
The Big Green Bible - By: Amanda, 03 Jul 2009

A must for all aspiring self sufficient livers - By: Ladybug, 28 May 2009
The selfsufficient-ish bible is essential reading for anyone considering the benefits of 'the good life'. Well written, easy to read, informative, but put aside a good few hours when it arrives because you wont be able to put it down.
Why is this not a TV series - By: Frances Hutchings, 25 Apr 2009
This book has to be the future. It has information on everything that anyone could ever need to knowin order to survive on their own. As a complete novice I found this book perfect for me, not to say that someone with a bit of knowledge would not benefit too. Everything is presented as if you are chatting to the authors over the fence.
This book is simply perfect.
