Scary Perry Rules! - By: R. Ward, 12 Dec 2008
Underneath the gore, sci-fi & shock aspects of this book is a well paced & plotted character driven human drama that takes the reader on a very tense journey with ex American Footballer "Scary" Perry Dawsey. Perry has strange growths appearing under his skin but he's not a man that backs down from a fight ,no matter who or what the opponent. Elsewhere we have washed up CIA agent Dew Phillips chasing down seemingly infected killers & Dr Margaret Montoya trying to figure it all out. This is recommended to any fan of a good drama, as long as you have a strong stomach.
A classic introduction? - By: J. S. Meins, 17 Oct 2008
Pretty much the most sickly book I have read for many a year, certainly since I was enjoying Clive Barkers disturbingly sadistical mind twenty odd years ago. "Infected" takes a well trodden concept (alien bodysnatchers) & ramps up the gore to a new literary level (in my experience at least) but manages to keep you hooked with characters that wouldnt be out of placein a Steven King classic. The finale hints that this may be the first bookin a series & I really hope that is the case because Scott Sigler could have a monster on his hands. I can see this making the transition to the big screen also, a sort of Alien/Aliens hybrid directed by David Cronenberg.

Enjoyable Nonsense - By: DanBeale, 10 Aug 2008
This book is enjoyable escapist nonsense. You're looking through the heaps for an enjoyable thriller? Try this book.
The characters are likable - the hard bitten ex-army CIA agent, the female CDC doc, & ex-football star disease victim. The action rattles along, with plenty of gore & drama to keep it going.
A satisfying read.
