The case is not made - By: A. Mutimer, 02 Aug 2008
Reading the other reviews you will have the idea of this book. But the case is not made. Just tot up the number of truly relevant UFO/war connectionsin this book & you will see what I am saying - there just aren't enough, & when they come they are rather carefully chosen.
I happen to believein a fair bit that is presented here, & even I wasn't convinced. What is worse is the book does not really rock along; it is actualliy quite hard to finish, mainly becuase you re not really convinced of each point as you go. There's better stuff out there...
Essential Primer for UFO research both ancient and modern - By: C. MacCallum, 28 Feb 2008
William Bramley's The Gods of Eden, is an excellent overview of the manifestion of UFO'sin the historical record. What makes it even more interesting is the correlation of events concurrent to those manifestations. They appear to be uniformly bad. So much for the benevolent space brothers.
Bramley's introduction makes it clear that he did not set out to "write a UFO book". He wanted to research the history & causes of warin order to find some way to end it. That he ended upin this unexpected line of research is a testament to a dedicated historian following the data unearthed, no matter how strange the path. Highly recommended.
Though provoking - By: Aeneas, 02 Nov 2007
I wouldn't say that it was an easy book to read, as some of the things seems to not be backed up by much evidence. Having said that, I liked the sections regarding the set up of the monetary system & how Bramley demonstrated the instigation of wars by the bankers as they very heavily profited from them as they rented out their mercenaries to both sides of the conflict to do the killings. This has scary parallels to todays reality of a never-ending bogus war on terror & how the private war industry profits handsomely from causing mayhem & destruction, while the ordinary peoplein the form of taxes pay for it. The many questions that arose from reading the book, brought me to look elsewhere & enquire more deeply about aspects that I was ignorant of before.
A recent book by Richard Dolan does a great jobin covering the phenomena of UFO'sin a very serious way by systematically looking into records released through the Freedom of Information act & discovering that the top military brass is taking this thing VERY seriously, despite all the denying & ridicule.
hidden history, - By: J.A.R., 29 Oct 2007
The Gods of Eden by William Bramley is an excellent account on discovering who the "man" behind the curtain truly is. His research has uncovered a history that has been masked for centuries. It's contains have lead to me to other works related to this subject such as, "UFOs & the National Security State" by Richard Dolan, & the "Secret History of the World" by Laura Knight-Jadczyk.
Good alround book on the subject - By: M. Davis, 12 May 2007
I have read many books from many different angles, this one is easy to read, is well written & I wasn't able to put it down till I finished. It does take an open mind to understand but is a good book for people who are interested enough to take that step. I'd recommend this book to anyone.
