Fabulous! - By: , 06 Oct 2003
As one of the worlds biggest skeptics on diets, it took some convincing to get me to give this one a go, but when a colleagues fatherin law (a doctor) recommended it i decided to try it out & I have been absolutely astounded by it. For years I have struggled with bloating & fatigue & after only a couple of weeks following the Type A plan I had heaps more energy & (amazingly) no more bloating! A couple of months into the plan I also went to an allergist (who did not know I was blood-typing) & the results were unbelievablyin line with the blood type A recommendations!

To anyone who has not already given it a go, I will say this: Stick with it! To begin with it looks complicated & nonsensicle at times, but if you persist the rewards are well worthwhile. I also recommend buying one of the menu books for meal ideas (as for the first week i lived off of Ryvitas & soy cheese!) because it can take a while to get used to implementing new foods & completely changing your eating plan.

The only thing i will say against the blood type diet (and this is through no fault of its own) is that it is not cheap & it is not something you can do on & off. for a while when money was tight i slipped back into my old ways &in no time at all was back to being bloated & lethargic, however, personally, i find it can be expensive and, as you cut as many preservatives out as possible, it can also be time consuming as there is a fair amount of food prep & cooking involved.

If you are prepared to integrate it into your life 100% you will get 100% back from it & feel 100% better!

LONG LIVE THE BLOOD TYPE DIET! :o)

A review from a medical student. - By: Zenonas Xydas (zenonas@hotmail.com), 01 Oct 2001
I have read the book not onlyin a research to solve my feeling of constant fatique, but alsoin a genuine interest to widen my knowlengein curative diets, the type of knowledge that is quite often overlooked by medical students.

I found the book very interesting with some good scientific explanations. I found myself - after 2 weeks of follwing the diet - being 70% better than I was. I don;t feel my eyes heavy & I feel almost a new person with more energy. Also my work experience has shown to me that the effectiveness of the diet is as high as 90%. I've seen patients who followed the diet & solved problems such as chronic stomach problems, pimbles on their face, arthritis, knee problems, heart problems, weak immune system problems, high blood pressure. Of course it is one thing listening to these things & another observing them. So if you have not been convinced give it a try on yourself - for any problem that you have - & experience the results within 2 weeks..

The theory behind this book is working for me and my family - By: enid.gentle@paconsulting.com, 31 Jul 2001
Four years ago I had a Vega test & it indicated most of the foods on the avoid listin the ER4YT book. So I started ahead of the book. I have lost weight, lost my spots (42 was a bit old for teenage acne!), sorted out my digestive sluggishness & feel 10 years younger. My daughter of 19 was diagnosed with Crohn's disease this year but she is now following the O type blood group diet & is gorgeously healthy & healthily gorgeous - taking no medication at all, just healthy food & a multivitamin/mineral supplement. I feel like an evangelist for this book, D'Adamo certainly has pulled it together. Most mainline medical practitioners make no connection between Crohn's & food. Remarkable blind spot. I have also noticed that only nutritionists seem to be against this book, the whole of the naturopathic movement seems to have embraced the philosophy whole-heartedly. I am currently training to become a naturopath & I feel that D'Adamo is showing us all the way. Only those with old fashioned training & conventional biggotry would find fault with this philosophy. And above all, it works!!
I have some questions, does anybody have answers? - By: , 02 Sep 1999
I liked the book. The content & recommendations make sense to me. I like that the author refers to his lab work. Is there a web-site or does the author have an on-line connection? Thank you.
I thought it was baloney..till it cleared up my psoriasis. - By: , 02 Sep 1999
My wife followed the diet for a while, though I was quite skeptical. Her very painful periods (lifelong endometriosis) have never been milder. That convinced me to try it. I've had psoriasis almost my entire life. Tried PUVA, even chemotherapy. Each worked for a while. I followed the type A diet for 4 months & am surprised & happy to say that my condition is 99% better, & I lost a few pounds as well. Is it hard? No, you just have to have a good reason to be disciplined. I did, & it worked for me. Thank you Dr. d'Adamo.
