Having attented many lectures given by Pr. Hunt, I soon found it necessary to read his Understanding Children's Literature. Rather than being restrictive & elitist, his edition of scholarly essays gives us a better understanding of a category of books which has, unfortunately, been too often neglected. Various chapters, all devoted to a better comprehension of Children's Literaturein general, enable us to clearly see what is meant by Children's Literature. So to all those who wish to be able to read children's books from an aware point of view, Understanding Children's Literature is what you are looking for !!! Enjoy the reading.
