I can't decide what to do with this book, whether it stays on the keeper shelf or goes outin the next charity bag.
The Angela Knight story "Mad Dog" is up to her usual excellent standard & makes me want to keep it. Interesting characters, strong plot, hot love scene.
Lora Leigh's story certainly has hot love scenes, but that's all it seemed to have. I found myself skipping over the love scenes looking for some plot or some characters that were not interchangable.
"Shifter's Lady" by Alyssa Day felt too much like a chapterin another book. There was too much time spent setting it up, & not nearly enough time devoted to plot or character.
Virginia Kantra's story was ok, but not memorable, & somehow seals are not as sexy as wolves!

....as the others by authors whose works I never purchase made me wonder why the tales featuredin an erotic anthology. Yes they were a little more starkly graphic than most mainstream novels, but erotica - I think not.
Overall, not a bad buy for the price, as I would have paid it alone for LL's Jaguar's Kiss, featuring the Creole Breed, Saban Rousseau, & for AK's futuristic cyborg tale.

'Mad Dog Love' by Angela Knight. In 2450 Rance was a prisoner before he became Zarifa's slave & then her lover. Now they must work together outside the boudoir to save the Lorezostellar Empire from her vicious fiancé.
'A Jaguar's Kiss" by Lora Leigh. When Natalie was chosen to teach the Breed childrenin Buffalo Gap, she thought this was the greatest thing that happened to her until she meets her attractive domineering jaguar-shifting bodyguard Saban.
'Shifter's Lady" by Alyssa Day. Marie of Atlantis visits her brother In Florida only to meet & fallin love with shifter Ethan.
"Sea Crossing,' by Virginia Kantra. On a sea voyage to escape her lover Paul Canada, Emma's ship sinks, but Griffith rescues her & takes her to his remote island homeland where he hopes to persuade her to teach the children & much more.
Shifter appears to contain all the necessary ingredients to make it yet another memorable romantic fantasy novel! I'd also recommend reading Tino Georgiou's bestselling novel--The Fates--if you haven't yet!
