it's ok - By: A Teacher, 02 Nov 2008
I use this with my year 3 class & is helpful, but it definately needs to be suplimented with other material. If you were to just follow the book as it is the children don't do enough written recording, certainly not enugh to satisfy ofsted. I use it as a basis to build on.
Doesnt hit the mark unfortunately.... - By: J. M. Roberts, 12 Mar 2008
As a teacher i was hoping this would save me valuable time & effort. Sadly OFSTED do not approve or recognise these lesson plans. The lessons are dull & incomplete. Not the solution you were probably looking for Im afraid! A waste of time & money!
Fantastic Resource - By: K. L. Mclachlain, 30 Dec 2007
This book/CD quickly helped me to come to grips with the new Primary Maths Framework & cut down on my planning time. There are quite manageable lesson plans, ICT teaching resources & differentiated activities & worksheets. You can use the lessons straight from the book or pick & choose material to complement your own planning & resources. It also comesin handy when leaving work for supply teachers (or if you are a supply teacher who has had to walk into a classroom & pull a lesson out of a hat) as it's clear & easy to run with.
Highly recommended!
The kiddies are loving it - who knew maths could be fun? - By: Please Sir!, 03 Oct 2007
This new book has brought the popular series bang up to date, & on first viewing its easy to see why it is so successful, and why I am such a fan.

With user friendly format for both teacher & pupils, it takes the drudge out of lesson planning. The book is well written, by someone who obviously has hands-on experiencein the classroom. The author uses a jolly tone & lightness of touch throughout the book that is guaranteed to enthuse your little cherubs, & get them to sit up, take notice & engage!

For me personally, this book is a beacon of excellencein a sea of less memorable offerings. It hasin short made my working day easier & my pupil's day more fun. Essentialin the 21st century classroom it comes complete with cd. My kiddies heartily recommend it!
