Stays with you. - By: R. Dalziel, 24 Jun 2008
A shocking story of one family's terrible abuse of their child & the life long repercussions on that child. A fascinating read, very upsetting, & one that will almost certainly stay with you.
true inside into the world of someone with multiple personalities - By: K. Gadsden, 26 Oct 2006
A very compelling, if at times confusing, read! It shows a fascinating coping mechanism of a very intelligent woman, the only way she could survive her ordeal!
Boring, muddled and confusing - By: , 27 Jun 2005
Having read & enjoyed 'Sybil' i had hoped this book would provide an equally as insightive look into MPD. However, i found Chase's style of writing uneccesarily complex & boring. The use of 'troops'in explanining her experience was muddled & confusing. Unlike sybil, the introduction of other personalties was unclear & not defined. I only read the first few chapters & then got too bored.
When Rabbit Howls, So Do I - By: Savannah Paige, 31 May 2005
While reading "When Rabbit Howls" I was surprised to know that there were people out there truly like me, that had suffered the same (not exactly equal) type of abuse as I did. Realizing that, I was able to read on, takingin what The Troops were saying. We discused the bookin my Psychology class & what it meant & stood for. I was never more pleased to learn that the book's subject matter angered most of the peoplein my class. This book, being about child sexual abuse & the aftermath of its wreckage, beingin the multiple personalities, was a wonderful way for me to know that I wasn't alone. This book was truly a blessing. I've never read anything more amazingin my 17 years of life.
When rabbbit Howls - By: R Everett, 20 Feb 2004
As the other reviews warn, do not begin this book if you have something important to do!
At times difficult to read due to the subject matter. I thoroughly recommend this book, but be warned it is graphic, harsh & emotional.
