Consistent and in keeping with the excellent Cambridge Handbook series - By: BS.Dos., 23 Apr 2007
This book is packed with interesting, easy to follow & simple (yet effective) grammar based classroom activities. All the major grammar points (tenses, conditionals, modals, articles etc) are included with each containing a number of different exercises covering a range of different learning abilities. Most exercises contain illustrations of some description meaning you can knock out good quality activities quickly & at short notice.
The Cambridge Handbook series is consistently goodin terms of being accessible, easy to use & affordable. This Grammar Practice Activities book is no exception & should be included on any serious EFL teachers bookshelf.
Fun Grammar - By: , 07 Feb 2004
Use this book to bring a bit fun into dry grammar lessons. At first this book does not look promising, but the contents are brilliant. There are many ideas how to teach grammar itemsin a less dry manner. There is a photocopiable section & good indices. The indices help you find the right activity: by level, by name or by grammar item.
If you ever wondered how you could teach grammar itemsin a more interesting way – this is the book to get inspiration.
The best Cambridge Uni. press book I've read - By: , 01 Mar 2002
Although it doesn't have the makeover of Rinvolucri's More Grammar Games et al this is the best Tefl book I've come across, & the one I miss mostin the language school I am teachingin now. Like most of the Cambridge press there's an introduction, which is worth reading, & then the invaluable games with which to suddenly create interestin the otherwise lifeless grammar point.
If you're struggling to find something to ignite the imaginations of your students, or have avoided the present perfect, despairing of ever getting the rule across, or need something for conditionals (asin the sentence here), then buy Ur's book.
