Amazing! - By: G, 01 Jun 2008
This is the first shopaholic book I have read and, after several indepth novels, it was such a great light relief! It is funny & relatable & just perfect for those moments when your brain isn't quite tunedin & you just need to relax! Although not completely alike- anybody who has read & loved Bridget Jones would definitley enjoy this!
Brilliant!! - By: Loopy Loo, 12 May 2008
I've read all the Shopaholic books & I think they're all absolutely brilliant. Funny, clever & touching. Well done, Sophie!! More please.
5 Stars for all 5 Shopaholic Books! - By: Mrs. V. Jeffery, 08 Apr 2008
I read all 5 Shopaholic books - one after the other. They were absolutely great! Like reading one huge book, you never had to finish for ages. You soon get to know Becky & what makes her tickin the first book, & then you just can't wait to renew your aquaintence with her & everyone connected with herin more of her adventures. Sophie Kinsella is an extremely talented author, because with each book you are lulled into the enjoyable, nutty world of Becky, & then without warning, a new drama beginsin her life & you just can't put the book down. Looking forward to reading other books by Sophie.
Ending unsattisfactory - By: Mrs. A. J. Shingler, 30 Mar 2008
I (like most of the other reviewers) read this bookin a day. It's easy & funny.

BUT (and it's a big BUT), it kind of loses itin the final couple of chapters. All of a sudden, our heroine becomes a t.v. star, gets her man & (apparently) even her finances are sorted - & it all just happens.

If you're a shopaholicin a similar situation, don't expect solutions because all the terrible problems - the guilt, trauma & embarrassment are sortedin the end without anyone actually DOING anything.

There were also a few unanswered questions - why did Tarquin dump her & how did she turn from being a slightly ignorant woman with absolutely no interestin finance into a financial expert with a regular spot on t.v.?

That said, I DID enjoy it - easy, amusing & if the final chapter fails, then the author hasn't LOST anything - after all, we can't all write Wuthering Heights - but it doesn't encourage me to read any more Sophie Kinsella.
Hilarious in a true chick lit style!!!! - By: Sam Chy, 12 Feb 2008
Absoloutely hilarious - I can totally relate to her as a self confessed shopaholic & chocoholic! I only wish I could relate to her good luck towards the end of the book. One can keep on hoping.....Fabulous.
