If you know about the Goons then you probably like them. They were the inspiration for Monty Python. The Goonshow was on the radio nearly every week for ten years, so the question is: where to start? My answer is this album. Everyone has their own opinion as to the best episodes, but if you don't like Napoleon's Piano then there's no hope for you! It really is a gem, together with International Christmas Pudding. Here they are on one album. Start here.

Wonderful quality sound. - By: , 03 Feb 2002 I've just become a big fan of the Goon Show, & being able to buy these episodes for such a low price was great. I enjoy being able to listen again & again to these episodes, & encourage the BBC to release more of the 250 or so episodes on tape & CD.
