I bought this for my 3 year old & I am extemely happy with it. I've had this for a month or so now & my Son can already ask & reply to the following questionsin French: how are you? what's your name? how old are you? where do you live? He also knows please, thank you, hello goodbye, yes no, I don't know. The important thing to note is that I have not just sat himin front of the TV & let him get on with it, usually when he wakes upin the morning I say good morning, how are you, etcin French & he says it back to me, then later onin the day we'll sit down together & watch the dvd. He loves the songs & so do I, they're good fun & very catchy.
I'm not pushy with it, it's used as good fun & at the same time he is getting a good startin life. Great buy.
Fantastique! - By: hmcni, 15 Sep 2008 This is a wonderful language pack with everything you need to help beginning children learn French. The animation is engaging & captures the children's attention. They are learning without even realising it, thinking they are just watching a DVD. Not only do you get the wonderful Serge DVD, you also get an Audio CD, songsheets, game cards & an Activity Book.
I can't recommend this highly enough. If I could give it more stars I would!
Best investment I've made in language learning for a child - By: Paul, 02 Sep 2008 I bought the Serge French learning pack for my 4 year old (now 5) & it has been an unqualified success. He loves watching the programmes & singing along to the CD of songs & has mastered some French basics including conversational phrases, numbers & colours. Some of the activities & materialin the book he will grow into. I had tried a few books & CDs to give him an early startin a foreign language & this is far & away the best investment I have made. Very effective & very good value. I wish there was a follow up (or some other languages).
C'est super! - By: K. Grant, 30 Jul 2008 My kids aged 2, 4 & 6 all love this, & they're all picking up some French. The CD is greatin the car for a long journey. Animation on the DVD isn't quite Pixar, but it's OK & the kids don't mind. We've had great value out of this already, & we haven't really introduced the games & the book yet.

We bought this after deciding not to investin Muzzy, on grounds of cost. I can only agree with other reviewers, it is a fantastic way to introduce small children to the French language. The themes are designed to appeal to that age group (pets, games, food & so on) & there are plenty of genuinely funny jokes which the parents will enjoy too! Singing along with the catchy songs is a great way to consolidate vocabulary & refine pronunciation.
The only downside is that the CGI is not up to the contemporary "Pixar" standard. But, again, my two-year-old doesn't seem to mind...!
Superb value for money & deserves to be more widely known. Merci beaucoup, Serge - génial!
